Season Recap:
The 2013 Minooka Indians had a roller coaster season that shared it's ups and downs. The Lady Indians battled through the first third of the season slightly over .500 by alternating wins and losses. The middle of the season was the strongest part of the schedule, and as a result the girls struggled going just 2-5 over that span. Still, the Indians regrouped and finished strong going 5-2 over their last seven, including four big wins on the road. They finished as runners up in IVC Conference play, both regualr season and the tournament. The Lady Indians could not overcome a tough Channahon team over the course of the year. Of their ten losses, three came to Channahon, the third place finisher in the state. In total, five of the ten losses were to teams that qualified for the state finals. The Indians were 8-1 when holding their opponent to less than twenty points. More than anything, they continued to battle day in and day out regardless of whether we were experiencing one of those high points or at our lowest low. We commend them for their effort, toughness, and heart.
